Freshwater pearl

I recently baught a freshwater pearl necklace, but the color seems to be fading. Is this necklace a fake?

fresh water pearls are in now adays. and it come very cheap in the market together with cultured pearls. Now like b4 it costs thousands per strand.

Its not a fake. Pearl usually fade when in contact with our neck skin because of the salty perspiration we have. But it usually regain its color. Try to rub it against ur nose for some natural body oil and it will shine again. Do not keep it in warm hot jewelry box/places. You can also wash it with mild soap.

To test if its fake or not try to rub each one on ur teeth. If u feel the rough grinding then its real if smooth its fake. Just very simple. Goodluck.

is there a rule or general pattern where same kind of beads must be in one group or can it be mixed...just confused...

The only pattern you have to follow is your imagination. If you're not sure how it will look, make a smaller version of what you want to make. If you don't like it you can always take it apart.

It looks very nice if you mix different types of pearls and gems, but within the same color family.
