Why do we use soap in wet vibration tumbling?
My work involves a lot of metal polishing (especially aluminum). One of the thing that I don't understand about the process is that I always need to put a certain amoung of soap water in the tumbler when I do Tumble Polishing. I wish to know what this soap water is for, and how the concentration of the soap can effect the whole tumble polishing process.
Not really my field of knowledge, but I would guess that it's for lubrication, to give a polished, rather than ground appearance.
