Jewelry Making - How to keep a pendant switch over?
I'm fairly new to jewelry making, and I had some difficulties with pendants that are flat connector supported. It seems when the string is attached to the sides to form the collar (as opposed to hanging in the middle, as in a traditional pendant), often rocking on the pendant to wear, so it is upside down. Does someone knows how to avoid it? (I hope I explained clearly). It probably has something to do with weight distribution, but I tried to keep things simple.
Well you're right about the weight distribution, I have been making jewelry for a while now and I encountered this problem before though. One thing you might try is to use a heavy chain so that its less likely for the chain itself twisting while your wearing. Another idea is to find large holed beads (only large enough to hold the string too big is bad) and strings on the string, but making sure the sides are also weighted using the same pearls and beads of the same size on both sides It also provides chain pendants look cool and unique.
